I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS to anyone looking for a training/boarding facility, & I encourage you to read this in full. My experience has NOT been good and I caution anyone who is considering going here. I am not the only one who has had a terrible experience. I feel the need to elaborate and also think it is important that anyone reading these reviews knows that a couple of "glowing" reviews posted below are written by the trainer's 12 year old daughter and best friend, who are both great girls, but definitely BIASED. A. If you buy lessons from her in a "package", be aware that she will not honor them if they "expire". Not sure how something can expire if you have paid for it, in full. I lost 3 lessons (@ $40 each, a total of $120 loss) because of this interesting rule (is that legal?). B. Board is due on the 1st and the grace period is until the 3rd at 5pm. I generally paid closer to the 3rd but was hassled about it, even though the contract states the 3rd. In Aug 2013, I was not going to be able to pay until the evening of the 2nd. I sent a message to Jamie letting her know, and OFFERED to pay (and did pay) the $50 late fee because I felt like I was a pain to her (she made that clear to me). I spent that money on a late fee when I WASN'T late at my discretion...she gladly accepted it. You will see why this story is funny when I get the end of this review. C. I moved in and out of THREE facilities in a 10 month period to continue training with Jamie. It seems she cannot keep a residency anywhere, & I have learned why (in my opinion). She is incredibly hard to work with. I wish I'd never moved with her the first time. I also have referred students to Jamie, one of which takes lessons with her still, and I wish I would not have made that recommendation. I also built Jamie a facebook page (as she is self-admittedly not computer savvy) and grew it to have hundreds of followers (often times letting the "page" use my facebook advertising budget, money I pay out of my pocket to advertise my photography, and Jamie's business). D.I sent Jamie notice on Sept. 2 2013 that I would be moving my horse in 30 days. I have to half-lease her to someone as I have having financial difficulty. Jamie does not allow this unless that someone is taking lessons from her full-time. As I could not find anyone who wanted to take lessons from her (but easily found someone to half-lease my mare), I had to decide to move. No response from Jamie. On Sept 13 I sent her the following message: "So when you're free do you mind letting me know how/when I receive my [$250] deposit back? Sorry to bother you, thanks...". Again, no response (what a surprise). On Sept 26 I sent the following message, "Please respond to me, I find it a bit rude and unprofessional on your part that I am having to request a response". No response ; & of course no one can tell Jamie she is wrong. D. I went to ride on 9/29 & found a letter taped on my locker. In a very rude and sarcastic tone it stated reasons why I will not receive my deposit back. Reasons included "Fed your horse more than what was included in your board" or "$40 for broken cross tie clip"...ridiculous. Needless to say I have not received my REFUNDABLE deposit & she wants to bill me an extra $95 for things that are made up or that I never asked for. This is of course after an entire month of myself trying to communicate with her and receiving absolutely no response. E. Understand that this woman does not want to be your friend. In an activity like this you should have fun, enjoy the people you're around, and be able to trust them. It should not be a backstabbing atmosphere where you have to "just deal with it". I would absolutely caution anyone, as I would wish my experience on no one (nor would I ever treat someone the way I have been treated here). When I spend my money and support someone's small business, I'd like it to be appreciated, at least to some small degree.
